Barcelona to Host Inaugural Fixture at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in La Liga over two years following their departure so building work could begin.

The stadium will not be at full capacity with 45,401 fans can be present as per the current authorization. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

The club conducted a fan-accessible workout on the home pitch on 7 November. The club said approval is being pursued from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt next month at the stadium. They have been hosting matches at Estadio OlĂ­mpic LluĂ­s Companys.
